Alex Quintanilla is an interdisciplinary artist whose work explores themes of mass media, consumerism, and Americana. Aside from being a prolific poster designer, he is also a documentary photographer, capturing neon signs, murals, storefronts, and other city scenes. He considers pop artists Andy Warhol, Sister Corita Kent, and Ed Ruscha major influences and is interested in the intersection of the banal everyday and fine art.

With over fifteen years of graphic design experience, Alex has done print and digital work for e-commerce, nonprofits, agencies, higher education, and other industries. He has also had his poster and photographic work shown in galleries domestically and internationally. With three years of college-level teaching experience, he is also a passionate educator influencing the next generation of designers and creatives.

He holds a BA in Graphic Design from California State University, Long Beach, an MFA in Creative Writing from Chapman University, and an MFA in Graphic Design from Indiana University Bloomington. He currently lives in Carson, California.
